Barbara Lustgarten Evoy is a very proud and dedicated volunteer, working hard to serve our community when and where ever possible. In addition to loving her role on the Groves Hospital Foundation Board, she is the Centre Wellington Ward 3 Councillor, Director on the Fergus Elora Rotary Club Board, heads the Interact Club working closely with local teens, is the Chair of the Safe Communities’ Intentional Self Harm Program Action Group, Vice Chair of the newly formed Collaborative Women of Wellington County team, and is a committed volunteer with many mental health and youth programs throughout our community. Barb is also the Upper Grand District School Board Trustee for Centre Wellington and is proud to own and operate Fergus Educational Services, a small business serving our youth and their families. Barbara is a keynote speaker, workshop presenter, radio host at the Grand 101.1 and hosts her own Tv series called “Parenting With Barbara” on YourTv. Barbara is an author of two books: one with a self-help/motivational focus called Building Pathways to Success, and the other written for young children about a three horned unicorn called The Adventures of Tri. Barb is a proud mother and wife, and loves the outdoors. While winter is her favourite time of year, she says; “any season in Centre Wellington is a good season!”
Ilse VanderMeulen has a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism & Communications and started her career as correspondent for newspapers in the Netherlands after her immigration to Canada in 1998. She transitioned to public relations and fundraising work and obtained her post-graduate Diploma in Fund Development at Georgian College in 2017. She is active in fund development on a freelance basis for several organizations and works part time at the Wellington Pregnancy Care Centre in Fergus as Director of Development. She has enjoyed getting to know the Groves community and giving back to the community she lives in since 2008 in her work for the Foundation.
Ilse is married to Lars and together they have 3 children. Ilse has served on several boards and committees, including as chair of the capital campaign committee for Emmanuel Christian High School for the purchase of the historic high school building in Fergus. She is an avid reader and loves hiking and biking on local trails, but also further from home enjoying the beauty of all that is Canada, in places like Algonquin Park and Prince Edward Island.
Adrian Carreiro currently acts as the Treasurer and Chair of the Investment & Finance Committee of the Groves Memorial Community Hospital Foundation. Adrian is a local Chartered Professional Accountant at Baker Tilly Elora & Guelph, so it was a natural fit for him to be involved in the financial aspect of the Foundation. Adrian is a resident of Fergus, with his wife and three children, and has made this community his home after living in surrounding communities for many years previously. Adrian and his wife have served their community in other ways by acting as coaches for the Guelph Special Olympics – Track & Field team and fostering puppies.With three children, Adrian's family is very busy, but he hopes to set an example for his children about the importance of giving back to their community, and how crucial the Hospital is.

Nate was born and raised in Fergus. He is a business lawyer at SV Law, a full service law firm with offices in Elora and Guelph.
Nate joined the Board of Directors of the Groves Memorial Community Hospital Foundation as he understands how important the hospital is to our community.
Nate and his partner Hilary have two young children and when time permits they enjoy skiing, mountain biking and enjoying the outdoors.
Nate is a former director of the Centre Wellington Chamber of Commerce as well as the University of Guelph’s research ethics committee.
Butch Medemblik is married to Arlene and together they have 8 children and 8 grandchildren and they live in Fergus. Butch holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from McMaster University and is a Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario. Currently, Butch is a Managing Director at Walinga Inc. in Guelph. Walinga Inc. has been in business since 1954 and is a manufacturer of specialty transportation and conveying equipment within the agricultural business sector.
Butch has served on various boards, committees, and sports teams both within his church and our local community. He joined the Board of the Groves Memorial Hospital Foundation in June 2019.
Lisa joined the Groves Memorial Hospital Foundation as a board director in June 2021. She holds a diploma in Human Resources Administration, specializing in Leadership and Arbitration, plus another one in Chemical Engineering Technology. In addition to her responsibilities on the Groves Memorial Hospital Foundation board, Lisa is Centre Wellington Ward 1 Councillor and is currently the Vice-Chair of the Wellington County Police Services Board, appointed by the Lieutenant – Governor of Ontario. She is also the Vice-Chair of the Ontario Association of Police Services Boards, overseeing pension appointments and governance.
Lisa has a vast amount of board member experience that she brings to the table. She was once the President of Centre Wellington Rotary, and Co-Chair of the annual Canada Day celebrations. Lisa has served several local community boards, committees, as well as figure skating organizations.
Lastly, Lisa is married to Darrel MacDonald, and together, they share two grown children. While she lives in Elora, Lisa loves taking regular summer trips to visit family on the east coast, in Nova Scotia’s south shore.

Dr. Quadros' journey has been a unique one. He was born and raised in Mumbai, India. He received the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences - Terna Dental College and Hospital.
He then obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2015 at the University of California, Los Angela (UCLA). At the end of his DDS program at UCLA, he completed the Western Regional Examining Board (WREB) exam, one of the examinations granting licensure in the United States and NDEB for licensure in Canada.
To further his clinical training and gain valuable experience, he applied to the competitive General Practice Residency Program (GPR) at Mount Sinai Hospital - Toronto. He was selected and attended from June 2015 to June 2016.
Being committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Quadros regularly pursues continuing education through dental conferences and courses to enhance his knowledge and keep up-to-date with advances in dentistry. Since dentistry is continuously evolving, we understand the importance of keeping abreast with latest technology, treatments, and scientific evidence for the benefit of our patients. Dr. Quadros is a member of the Ontario Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry.
In his free time, Dr. Quadros loves to work out and is an avid sportsperson. He spends the summer playing tennis (a sport he has played competitively at the school, university, and National level), soccer, surfing, hiking, and being outdoors.
During the winter months, he snowboards and cross country skis to stay active.
Dr. Quadros feels blessed to be part of a wonderful community.
Cindy Lindsay firmly believes that good health care is the key to a strong community. At the centre of this community is Groves Hospital! Cindy joined the Foundation Board in 2016 and is now serving her third term. Serving on the Board of the Foundation has emphasized how much she (and husband Jim) care about their hospital. Cindy had the honour of being Chair of the Board for a number of years during the New Groves Hospital Campaign, $151 Campaign, and when the new Groves Hospital opened its doors in August 2020.
Cindy spent the last 35 years working and volunteering in the charitable sector; most recently working nationally and internationally with Community Foundations around the world. This focus on community is what makes her proud to live in Centre Wellington, which she and her family have called home for the last 40 years. She has held several volunteer Board positions in the area and is appreciative of the great work of our diverse community organizationsCindy and her husband Jim operate a 5th generation cash crop and beef farm operation outside of Fergus. They have two daughters and 3 grandsons; who keep them very busy!

My name is Cheryl Rowe and I have been a Groves Hospital Foundation Director, for a previous full-term of 9 years; rejoining in 2023-24 after 1 year off. I worked locally in dental hygiene for over 35 years, and retirement has opened up the time to focus on community involvement.
Passionate about family and friends, my "hospital family" have become an extension of family to me. They are a great example of our committed, giving, sharing, community.
It's been exhilarating to spearhead the Metal Matters Campaign and the 151 Campaign. The community has responded very well to both initiatives. These are a few areas providing opportunities for everyone to get involved with our New Groves Hospital.
Being part of the Foundation has been very rewarding for me, personally.
I would like to thank all of those who have, and continue to, take the time to join in the journey of the New Groves Hospital. This is something we truly ALL can be proud of.
I have lived in Fergus all of my married life; over 40 years. My husband is born and raised in Fergus. We have 3 girls, married and 5 young grandchildren. In my spare time I love to golf and enjoy cottage life at Sauble Beach. We love to bike and walk the beach. Our family has been heavily involved in the community over the years, ranging from baseball, to curling, to Highland Games. Involvement with Groves has been our forefront for the last few years.

Pamela graduated from McMaster University before she started her 22-year corporate career at the Loblaw group of companies’ head office. During this time, Pamela’s success could always be traced back to her fundamental desire to provide the best customer experience for whomever she worked with.
Pamela has always been an active member in the community and achieves this by supporting things such as Celebrate Spring for Hope House in Guelph, Centre Wellington 100 Women Who Care and serving as the Board Chair on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Centre Wellington. Pamela also enjoys being an In-school mentor and has been a mentor to 5 incredible young ladies since she started with the Big Brothers and Big Sisters agency.
Pamela is a graduate of the Interior Design Institute and the USC Certified UltimateStager and ReDesign Academy and has been providing design services to clients since 2017. Today, Pamela owns and operates Refreshed and Refined Interiors where she works with residential clients, businesses, agents, developers and community programs.
Pamela and her husband John moved from Toronto in 2000 and have lived in Elora ever since.
Elnor Walsh Jones believes wholeheartedly in an inclusive hospital experience for all patients and their families. She has worked in social services for 30 years and is passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion. Elnor has served on many committees and is currently on the Township of Centre Wellington Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisory Committee and a committee member on the Grove Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario Family Engagement Working Group. Elnor is currently a case manager at the Region of Peel and is very dedicated to the service users' needs and goals. She has won several awards, including Teamwork, the most fantastic case worker, and creative solutions. She has initiated several successful projects, such as a restaurant and grocery gift card for service users, a glove and sock drive, and a lending library for youths.
Elnor lives in the wonderful town of Fergus with her family and a beautiful dog named Alora. Elnor is passionate about Centre Wellington's residents and community engagement. She enjoys travelling to various places within Canada and overseas in her spare time. When travelling is not in the plan, she enjoys hiking, karaoke, and painting as other ways to enjoy her time.
