Did you know that every piece of patient care medical equipment used by physicians and staff at Groves is funded by donors?
Equipment like this Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) is fully funded by your generous gifts. An AED is a portable, electronic device designed to automatically analyze the heart rhythm and deliver an electric shock to victims of ventricular fibrillation (a dangerous type of arrhythmia, or irregular heartbeat) to restore the heart rhythm to normal.
This Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and its associated fixtures, demonstrated by Dr. Khalid Enver, was also purchased by a generous donation to our Foundation. The PACS is located in the Medical Inpatient Unit and allows physicians and staff to view and diagnose diagnostic images (such as X-Rays) on a state-of-the-art, large screen.
Through your support, up-to-date, vital medical equipment and technology is made available at Groves Hospital. Your support will allow our team of staff and physicians to continue to deliver outstanding health care to you and your family, for generations to follow.
